Does the KoZee unit burn patients and/or cause redness?
To date, KoZee units have not had a patient burn confirmed in the field.

Any reports typically are a result of erythema which is redness of the skin or mucous membranes, caused by hyperemia (increased blood flow) in superficial capillaries. These typically present as potential burns but resolve within 20-30 minutes post procedure once the heat source is removed and the patient recovers from anesthesia.
Why does the KoZee unit seem loud?
The hose might be obstructed. KoZee has two air filters inside the unit (one initial filter for particulate matter, 1 HEPA for bacterial/viral filtration). There are also two sensors within the hose to constantly monitor temperature delivered. All these factors together make the KoZee unit more sensitive to airflow disruptions. If the blanket is obstructed, especially on the HIGH fan setting, you will immediately notice it becomes louder as it struggles to work against the obstruction.
Once the blanket is confirmed free of obstruction and it still seems loud, the height of the stand (which can be lowered) can also contribute to the perception it being louder. Repositioning the unit closer to the ground should diminish this noise perception.
Why does the KoZee stand not roll as well as the 3M unit?
Our team of experts believe that this is because they are pushing around the stand at full height and this feels odd to them. We are confident that lowering the stand height is likely to solve this.
The KoZee unit and stand are too tall, is it adjustable?

The KoZee stand at its full height stands 40” tall. However, the height of the stand can be reduced down to as low as 26” (approximately the same height as the 3M units). This allows the unit to be slid under tables and/or carts.
